Hoxton Hotel's £1 Room Sale

All 1000 rooms sold out in 26 minutes with a staggering 40,580 people trying to book in the first 5 minutes alone.
Sorry - we had a technical blip at the start which meant that the £1 rooms were not available to book until 12:15. For those of you who are technically minded, we had to change from the flash page to HTML so that the £1 rooms became available. Not quite sure why yet. It remained extremely difficult to access the booking engine and we are aware that you could not see a calendar and were therefore choosing from a range of dates, some of which may have already sold out. I am sorry if you found this a frustrating process. I know this was hard work as I tried myself…
The £29 rooms were available from 12:00 and therefore sold out first. This is surprising as it is normally the other way around.
- We are sorry if you were not successful.
- Not everyone could be a winner.
We will continue to work with our technology partners to help the booking system cope with the huge number of people trying to book these rooms.
